Shirt Print 10 x 12

10 x 12 in CMYK 1.20:1 portrait

A 10 by 12 in shirt print area. Slightly smaller than the standard 12 by 14 chest print, used for fitted shirts, women's tees, and tighter placements where the larger size would overflow the wearable area.

10 x 12 in

about the size of a t-shirt chest print

About this size

A 12 by 14 print designed for a regular adult tee can look oversized on a fitted shirt or a women's cut, where the chest area is smaller and the print can wrap awkwardly toward the sides. The 10 by 12 size is the standard adjustment: same composition logic, slightly tighter dimensions, better fit on smaller garments.

The placement convention also shifts. The top edge sits roughly 2.5 in below the collar instead of 3 in to keep the visual centre of the design at approximately the same place on the wearer's chest.

Pro tips

  1. 1 A practical size when targeting fitted shirts and smaller cuts. The 12 by 14 standard reads as oversized on smaller chest areas.
  2. 2 Centre the design horizontally and place the top edge about 2.5 in below the collar. Slightly higher than standard adult placement.
  3. 3 Same fabric and ink rules apply as the larger format. White underbase for dark fabrics; CMYK or spot colour for production.

Export notes

Same export pipeline as the standard 12 by 14 chest print: PNG at 150 DPI sRGB with transparent background for DTG, vector PDF or SVG with named spot-colour layers for screen printing. The smaller print window does not change the file specs, only the canvas dimensions.
