Dot Grid

Variable dot grid Variable dot grid

A variable dot-grid canvas for bullet journaling, planning pages, layout sketches, and grid-aware drawing without the visual heaviness of full grid lines.

About this size

Dot grids give structural reference without the visual noise of full grid lines. The dots are enough to align text, shapes, and layout decisions, but light enough that they recede when the page fills up with content.

The format became standard in modern paper planners and bullet journals for exactly this reason: structured enough to organise pages, invisible enough not to compete with the content.

Pro tips

1 Dot grids give structural support without the visual heaviness of full grid lines.
2 Common in modern paper planners and bullet journals. Useful for layout sketches and structural drawing.
3 Dot spacing controls how the grid feels. 5 mm is the modern planner standard; tighter spacing reads as denser and more technical.
