Specialty formats are the ones that grew their own conventions outside the document and screen mainstreams. Comic boards are drawn larger than print size to tighten the line work on reduction. Manga pages read right to left. Storyboards trade rendering for clarity. Icon masters export to a dozen smaller sizes. Each format brings its own working logic, and the editorial on each one explains what to plan for.
