A vertical-scroll webtoon layout tuned for action: varied band heights, one bleed panel, and a silent borderless beat. The cinematic vertical-comic style.

About this size

Action webtoons use varied panel heights and bleed panels to create cinematic pacing within the vertical scroll. A tall splash band, a quick sliver of motion, a beat of silence, a bleed reveal — the format supports rhythmic editing in a way the page-based format does not.

The silent borderless beat is a webtoon-specific convention: a single thin band with no border that creates a moment of pause before the reveal.

Pro tips

1 Vary band heights aggressively. Uniform bands read as flat pacing; varied heights create cinematic rhythm.
2 Use the bleed band for the moment that needs to land. Bleed panels in webtoons are the equivalent of double-page splashes in print.
3 The silent borderless beat is a webtoon idiom. Use it before reveals or after emotional moments.
