About this size
Tabloid is the size most comic artists actually draw at. Working larger and reducing for print gives line work room to breathe and hides minor inking imperfections that would be obvious at final size. The same logic applies to detailed illustration intended for any smaller final format.
The other practical role is the booklet. A Tabloid sheet folded in half produces two Letter pages, which makes it the natural signature unit for short-run zines, programs, and event handouts.

Pro tips
- 1 The standard comic-book working size. Pencils and inks at this scale reduce cleanly to standard 6.625 by 10.25 in comic page dimensions.
- 2 Folds cleanly to two Letter pages for booklets and signatures, which is why short-run print pieces often start here.
- 3 Most home printers do not handle Tabloid. Plan to send the file to a print shop or use an office printer with the right paper tray.
